Brief info

Parm was hatched from an egg before we even lived on the farm. She is the sweetest little chicken, who will sit in your lap and take a nap.

Yesterday we spotted our first humming bird of the Yesterday we spotted our first humming bird of the year!! Today… snow is blanketing everything. Luckily we avoided the massive totals they originally predicted (up to 2 ft). We live along the #palmerdivide which means we often get more aggressive weather than the Denver metro area. The Palmer Divide is an elevated region located southeast of Denver, between the cities of Denver and Colorado Springs. The reason it gets more snow than Denver is due to its higher elevation and location in a region that experiences orographic lifting. It is a beautiful part of #colorado but makes our#gardening season shorter.

Orographic lifting occurs when air is forced to rise over a mountain or elevated terrain. As the air rises, it cools and moisture in the air condenses, leading to cloud formation and precipitation.

Welcome to the wonderful world of goat yoga! It is Welcome to the wonderful world of goat yoga! It is such a fun and unique way to incorporate exercise, mindfulness, and animal interaction into your life.
So, what exactly is goat yoga? It's a yoga practice that involves doing traditional yoga poses while friendly and curious goats wander around and interact with the participants. Goat yoga has become increasingly popular in recent years, and it's not hard to see why. Not only is it a fun and playful activity, but it can also provide a number of physical and mental health benefits.

For one thing, the presence of animals can be incredibly calming and stress-reducing. Research has shown that spending time with animals can help to lower blood pressure and decrease levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Additionally, interacting with animals can release feel-good hormones like oxytocin, which can improve mood and promote relaxation.

In addition to the mental health benefits, goat yoga can also be a great form of exercise. Doing yoga improves balance, flexibility, and core strength. And because goat yoga is a bit more dynamic than traditional yoga (thanks to the presence of the goats!), it can be a fun and engaging way to get your heart rate up and burn some calories.

Of course, the goats themselves are a big part of what makes goat yoga so special. These friendly and curious animals are sure to bring a smile to your face as they wander around, nibble on your mat, and occasionally climb on your back during certain poses. And because goat yoga is typically practiced in a group setting, it can be a great way to meet new people and build a sense of community.

So, if you're looking for a fun and unique way to add some exercise, mindfulness, and animal interaction into your life, why not give goat yoga a try? It's sure to be an experience you won't forget! Contact us about our upcoming events!!

A tribute to our favorite barn cat, Kittysaurus wh A tribute to our favorite barn cat, Kittysaurus who passed away for unknown reasons. He always walked in front of you and just laid down almost tripping you, looking for pets. And regularly could be found stalking visitors just to make sure they were ok. He was a great cat and will be missed very much! The kids took it pretty hard, we decided just to tell them the whole truth. We thank him for all the smiles and sweet snuggles.

We love Halls Hay @thehayninja . We buy it locally We love Halls Hay @thehayninja . We buy it locally in Elizabeth at Double Beam @doublebeamranchwear . We feed straight alfalfa for our herd (only does) along with grain and supplements. We used to feed various other hay brands until we took the girls to their first show and found out they were too thin. Since that show we have been on the quest for higher quality hay and have fallen in love with Halls. The girls have all put on healthy weight. Thank you!
